How does Mom Corps work?
Mom Corps works to match professionals with flexible job opportunities suited to candidates' qualifications and scheduling needs. Candidates fill out a detailed profile specifying their professional experience and needs for flexibility, as well as upload their resume into our database. Once registered, candidates can search and apply directly to active jobs. In turn, employers can search the database for candidates matching their qualifications, view resumes, and contact the candidates they are interested in hiring.
Since Mom Corps also performs contingent or project searches for contracting clients, a Mom Corps recruiter may also contact a candidate directly about a job opportunity.
Are the posted jobs truly "flexible"?
YES - employers working with Mom Corps offer a variety of flexible employment opportunities. You choose when you work, how long you work, and how much time you take in between projects, and our database matches you with jobs suited to your scheduling needs. The more flexible you choose to be, the more opportunities you will find.
How much does it cost?
FREE! To register, upload your resume, search, and apply to active jobs - it costs you nothing. However, if you are actively seeking a job, we encourage you to add our premium 'Featured Listing' service to your account for just $9.99 per month. 'Featured Listing' ensures that your resume will come at the top of the list of qualified candidates when an employer performs a search.
How do I register as a candidate with Mom Corps?
Getting started with Mom Corps is easy - go to the candidate homepage, and click on 'Register with Mom Corps'. Create a username (your email) and unique password and fill out our detailed candidate questionnaire to help us determine your experience and your needs for flexibility. You will also be asked to upload your resume which will be saved to your account and in our candidate database.
How do I search active jobs within the Job Board?
There are two ways to search jobs through the Job Board. After logging in, click "Match me to jobs" which is a function that matches you to jobs based on the answers you provided in the registration questionnaire. Once matched, you can then change the search criteria to search different types of postings. If you are not logged on, go to the search screen and perform a quick or advanced search for specific jobs.
How do I apply directly to a job?
In order to apply directly to a job, you must first register as a candidate with Mom Corps. You then search the database for jobs matching your criteria and click 'Apply'. Your resume will be submitted to the employer automatically, and they will contact you further if they are interested.
How do I upload my resume?
During the registration process, you will need to click the 'Browse' button next to the 'Upload Your Resume' field. Browse the documents listed on your computer and select the file containing your resume in WORD format. Then click 'OK' and move on to the next area of the registration form.
How do I update my resume?
To update your resume, login to the website under your username and password. Click 'Edit Profile' on the Candidate Management screen. Click 'Browse' next to the 'Upload Your Resume' field. Browse the documents listed on your computer and select the file containing your new resume in WORD format. Then click 'OK' and 'Submit'. Your old resume will be deleted automatically.
Who will be able to see my resume?
Mom Corps allows all employers to search our database of candidates and resumes. When an employer performs a search and wishes to have you apply, they will contact you, unless you select to keep your profile private.
What if I want to keep my resume private?
If you do not want a company to be able to view your resume, click on "Edit Profile" and select "Make My Profile Private". When you select this option, only Mom Corps employees will be able to view your profile.
How can I increase my resume views?
To increase the number of employers potentially viewing your resume, sign up for our premium service, 'Featured Listing'. When you are actively searching for a job, 'Featured Listing' ensures that your resume receives top listing when an employer searches for qualified candidates. You can add 'Featured Listing' at any time, and it is available for only $9.99 per month.
How do I add 'Featured Listing' to my account?
'Featured Listing' can be added to your account at any time. To add 'Featured Listing', click on 'My Account' and select 'Upgrade My Account' from the top navigation bar. By selecting 'Add Featured Listing', you will be prompted to enter your payment information. Mom Corps ensures that your payment information will be kept private and secure.
How do I cancel 'Featured Listing'?
You can cancel 'Featured Listing' at any time. Click on 'My Account' and select 'Upgrade My Account' from the top navigation bar. Click 'Cancel Featured Listing', and it will automatically cancel this premium service for the following month.
How do I change my username or password?
From the management screen, click 'Edit Profile'. Update the desired fields, and click 'Submit' to save your changes.
What if I forget my password?
If you forget your password, click 'Forgot Password?' under the Job Board login. You will be prompted to enter your email address. An email with a link to reset your password will automatically be mailed to that address.
How can I sign up to receive Hot Job notifications?
Sign up to receive weekly Hot Job notifications, telling you the latest jobs that have been posted! You can sign up during registration or by clicking 'Edit Profile' on the Candidate Management screen, checking the box ' Notify Me When New Jobs Are Available', and clicking 'Submit'.
What career resources does Mom Corps offer candidates?
In addition to providing flexible work opportunities, Mom Corps also partners with experienced professionals to offer candidates career coaching, resume and cover letter writing services, and on-ramping tips. Go to the Job Board main screen to learn more and sign up for our services.
